Memorial Day Weekend

Hope everyone had a great 3-day memorial day weekend! I sure did.

Saturday was fun. SunnyD, Nikki, Maria, and I all went to the movies to see Night At the Museum 2. I really liked it. Not the greatest movie I've ever seen, but it was still charming and funny. And of course Ben Stiller was in it, so it's immediately ten times better than plenty of other movies :P I love Ben Stiller(in case you couldn't tell)

Anyway, after the movie, SunnyD had a job to fill as a probably very bored 3rd wheel while Maria had to spend time with her family, so Nikki and I had a little one-on-one bestie shopping day. I don't even remember when the last time it was just me and her! We see each other ALL the time, but there are always other people around. We had a lot of fun. First, we decided to try out the relatively new dollar store-we went a bit crazy("Ooh! Ooh! This is only a dollar?! Ooh, look at this! THEY HAVE YARN!") good times, good times. We spent the rest of the time at Borders(we stay there for hours on end-it's like my second home). We shared a big snickerdoodle and a yummy chocolate chip muffin, looked around nostalgicly in the kid's aisle, and gawked over all the things we would buy had we all the money in the world! It was really fun and we're planning on doing it again before Nikki has to leave for a while over the summer!

Speaking of Nikki, her b-day in about 5 days! I got her into Pullips and she's getting her first one for her birthday! We're both nerdily excited about it.

Sunday my family and I went down to visit my aunt in Wilmington. It was really fun! I played Rockband for the firs tiem(shocker!) and I loved it. Must it be expensive?

Not much else happened. I had fun, though!
Only 6 days until exams!!!!
Cannnot wait until summer.
That's it for now.
Love,
Alanna :D

P.S. Check out the creepy statue I saw. Not sure what it is. The theory so far is that it's a drunk guy being attacked by starfish. Check out the bird taking a crap on his head!

MEGA Awesome

These are freaking sweet! It I had $50, I'd SO buy them!

Happy Birthday Shela!!!

Sorry I can't make a big, elaborate post about how dear you are to m and how if it wasn't for you, most of the time, I'd be blogging into empty cyberspace, but I don't have much time. It's 6:15 A.M.
Anyway, I hope your 19th is awesome!!!

The Rumors are true...

and I am VERY jealous.

Still, I'll admit, these two are pretty damn adorable together! And I love Selena AND Taylor. I like them as a couple, but as always, I think Taylor belongs with me ;)

My Dinner

The setup

The Setup 2

Apparently the best guacamole ever(I don't like guacamole, so I wouldn't know, but my mom said it was the best she's ever had!)

Taco Meat!

Mexican Bean Salad!
I had to take pics for the project, so I thought I'd post them!

Wow, It's Been A VERY Long Time!!!

I am so sorry it's taken me this long to post. I've only got 11 days left until exams-only 15 days of school(and exam days are half days!) so my teachers have been cramming in all the work they can.I've been completely overloaded and so usually when the weekend comes, I just want to chill out and truthfully, blogging was one of the things I least wanted to do. But I got in the mood a little bit once I realized that I was being missed :P

In other news, I have this big end-of-the-year project for my foods class in which I have to cook a big 3-course meal for my family. I made it last night. Including shopping for the food, making it, and cleaning up, it took about 7 hours! My feet hurt from standing up that long once I was done. But it payed off because the dinner turned out pretty good!

So I found these super adorable dolls that are made in Japan. They're called Sonny Angels and their basically exactly like Kewpie dolls only way cheaper. And their eyes move. And they have little wings on their backs! Anyway, I really want one. There are several sizes:

Here are more pics if you want to see them

Yes, they are anatomically correct ;) But they're supposed to be babies, so I don't think it's sick, unlike my friends :P("Ew! What the hell is wrong with you?")

I was going to get one when I found some U2 tickets for only $60!!!It's my dream to see U2 live. I'm a CRAZED fan. So now I'm scraping up all the money I can get to buy those(but my neighbor might be able to get some for free*crosses fingers*)

I think I've made this clear before(though it's been a REALLY long time), but I really don't like Shakespeare. I admit, he was a talented dude. But I personally think he's a bit overrated. But I'm pretty sure I'm dyslexic(I still need to be tested for it) and having weird, old words mixed up(when my head mixes them up for me) is not easy.I literally have to read almost every line 6 times to understand it. Which is why my teacher's summaries and Spark Notes are by bffs at the moment.

I still haven't finished The Host yet, sorry! I've been meaning to get around to it(I might read it when I'm done with this), but I haven't had much motivation and/or time. But I promise you guys, when summer comes(not too far away) you will have a crazy amount of book reviews from me :P And if I don't remember, virtually kick me(unless I see you in person, then kick me-though I will kick you back, just a warning)

My photos are becoming slightly more popular on Flickr! Help me out, people, and check out my photostream if you haven't yet! While I've been slacking off on the blogging, I have been updating my Flickr a decent bit.

Before I go, here's the last of the updates:
What I'm listening to:" "Your Love" by The Outfield(AH-MAZING song!!! Great cover by Katy Perry, too!)
What I'm reading: For fun-nothing For school-finished To Kill a Mockingbird(on a scale of 1-10, it was a 6.5) and The Odyssey(I liked it-I'm into the whole gods and goddesses thing) and am now working on Romeo and Juliet, which as I mentioned earlier, sucks ass in my opinon -_-
Current Obsession: I've always loved Journey, but now they're like, ALL that I'm listening to, no joke. Oh, and I've always been thinking of creative ways to get James in trouble and/or possibly dead? Sounds mean, but he's been as complete asshole lately.
Current hate: James, duh!
Last thing I bought: Hm...I think it was Mother's day gifts.
Last Place I went: Besides school...the grocery store. How exciting, right?

Ok, I really gotta go now. I'll post more often now!
